Frequently Asked Questions 

Q: How do pamper parties work?
A: We have a wide selection of pamper packages that you can choose from, catering for all budgets, and some Me-time, whether you want to look or feel good we have you covered, through our wholistic approach to wellbeing. We will work with you to provide your ideal pamper-spa experience with qualified therapists to your chosen location, whether that’s your own home preparing for a big night out or special occasion, or relax with friend's in comfort, or a hired venue. By creating a relaxing, spa-like experience. Guests choose their treatments in advance, and we provide everything needed for the session.

Q: Where can pamper parties take place?
A: Pamper parties can be held in your own home, garden (weather permitting), or at a venue of your choice. We recommend for massages healing, facials a warm quiet space to unwind and relax, where your party of guests can fully enjoy the spa experience. Manicures and pedicures depending on your guests can be enjoyed in a quiet space or altogether so you can all enjoy. We do require chairs for treatment, and possibly a table. All pamper parties can be hosted in your home, hired venue, or hotel rooms. We do ask to make the venue aware for smooth running of your event.

Q: How do I make a booking?
A: Simply contact us via phone, email, or our website to check availability. Once confirmed, we’ll send you an appointment schedule and request a deposit to secure your booking.

Q: What do we need to provide for the party?
A: Our therapist will arrive 20-30 minutes earlier to set up before treatments begin with all their own equipment and products. So you just need to accommodate enough space for a  6ft x 2.5ft massage couch. A warm, quiet space with enough room for treatments to take place comfortably. Access to chairs, and possibly a table for products, hot water supply and a nearby power supply may be required. Full details will be sent to you before the event. For guests who are receiving back massages or full body massages we recommend that you bring along your own towel, bathrobe and for guests who are having a pedicure we suggest to bring toe dividers, flip flops. It would be lovely if therapist's could have a glass of water or tea/ coffee provided, as they are unable to drink alcohol when working , so please do not feel offended if they gently decline your offer. Apart from that our therapists will accommodate a smooth and hassle free pamper experience for your party.

Q: Where do you recommend treatments take place?
A: Ideally, in a calm and private space away from noise, with good lighting and ventilation. Bedroom seems to work very well, manicures and pedicures can be within the group if the guest chooses.

Q: How long do treatments last?
A: Each treatment differs depending on the package, in the Bliss Pamper Package lasts around 20 minutes, with a short changeover time between guests included. There is a minimum booking of 3 hours per group but can last 4.5-5.5  hours depending on how many guests and treatments taken. As our treatments run back to back a standard 30 minute slot would be 25-26 minutes for treatment and last 3-5 minutes for clean down and prepare for changeover guest.

Q: What areas do you cover?
A: We cover the North East of the UK and surrounding areas. With the possibility of expanding into other locations. To aviod disappointment we do travel around the UK, we recommend that you give as much notice as possible. Treatments, travel are included within the price, extra travel fees may apply for locations outside our usual service area. For example party venues over 10 mile radius outside a city a fee for petrol will be levied to the cost of the party to cover personal travel fees. Any travel costs will be communicated at the time of booking, but may vary if personnel cancellations occur and replacement is required.

Q: Does everyone have to have a treatment ?
A: No – it’s entirely up to your guests. However, we do have a minimum booking requirement which will be discussed at the time of booking. As long as minimum booking time is covered, it is your party to enjoy. Everyone can have a beauty treatment, and almost everyone for therapies, however some guests the therapies are not advisable due to medical conditions, we can provide the information regarding medical conditions that are to be avoided which includes: Epilepsy, Diabetes, Cancer, or if a guest is pregnant we cannot provide massage services unless we allocate a therapist whom is qualified and specialised in pregnancy massages. We currently do not offer pregnant guests massages, please invite them to an alternative treatment from our menu list. For private Sound bath it is not permitted in the first trimester of pregnancy, pace maker, unmanned severe mental health, sensitivity to sound- epilepsy, all information will be provided in the information form. We advise not to drink alcohol prior to having therapy, massage treatments as this can cause side effects, and to drink more water. Alcohol is permitted before cacao ceremony, soundbaths and zen retreats.

Q: What products do therapists use?
A: We use high-quality, professional skincare and massage products. Please let us know in advance if you have allergies or sensitivities, and we can find out ahead of time of the products they currently use for you, if requested to know. All therapists have been trained using professional and different products brands, and will differ from therapist to therapist. All therapists are on a freelance basis.

Q: Can we tip the therapists?
A: Therapists are paid competitive rate of pay, when working with us, tips are never expected but always appreciated if you’d like to show your gratitude and happy with the service they provide. There is no obligation to do so.

Q: What happens if I need to change the number of guests?
A: Please let us know as soon as possible. Changes made less than 7 days before the event may be subject to charges. As this may affect the number of therapists that is required for your party booking. Refunds can not be given to those guests not attending the party if they cancel within the 7 days of the party date.

Q: Can we change the appointment schedule or treatments on the day?
A: We try to be flexible, but changes on the day may not always be possible due to timing and preparation requirements.

Q:Do I need to arrange appointment schedules ?

A: We will request treatment choices 3 weeks prior to event and will arrange appointment schedule for you to ensure as smooth as possible running event. Occasionally we may be unable to cater for first choice treatments, if this is the case we will let you know as soon as possible, so your guests can choose another alternative treatment. We provide our therapists a 10 minute break after a 1.5 hours of treatments, as it is also important to look after our therapists wellbeing, this however is factored in to the schedule treatment rota at no cost to our clients, occasionally our therapists prefer to work through their break time at their discretion.

Q: What should guests bring or wear for treatments?
A: Comfortable, loose clothing is best. If having a facial, avoid heavy makeup beforehand. For massages, it’s helpful to wear something that allows easy access to the treatment area. For those having pedicures we recommend flip flops or toe dividers.

Payment Terms & Cancellation Policy

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit  should your party be cancelled, and is required to secure your booking. You can pay via debit card, credit card, paypal. Once we have received payment and allocated your therapist, your booking is confirmed.

Final Balance: Due no later than 3 weeks before your event, in order for your party event booking to go ahead as scheduled.

Cancellations: Deposits are non-refundable. If therapists is unable to perform his/her full engagement due to sickness , injury or other unforseen circumstances then SJB Wellbeing will use all reasonable endeavours to provide and full-fill obligations for an alternative Freelance Therapist, this may result in changing treatment choices if their skills are slightly different, depending on the therapist replacement. If an alternative replacement is provided, no refund will be given on the treatment. Should any part of the engagement not be filled SJB Wellbeing will deduct on a pro rata basis of the cost of the unfulfilled potion of the treatment engagement.

Guest Changes: Any changes to guest numbers must be confirmed in writing. Reductions in numbers close to the event date may still be charged.
